Hi, I’m Tamar, a New Zealand basket maker, fibre artist and willow weaving tutor. I’ve been weaving for over 12 years and teaching for 8, sharing my love of this beautiful, hands-on craft with people throughout New Zealand.

I love working with natural materials and exploring the endless possibilities of willow, from functional baskets to sculptural pieces. For me, weaving is about slowing down, connecting with nature and finding joy in making something by hand.

I’m now growing willow at Amberley Willow Farm in North Canterbury, bringing my passion for weaving and sustainable materials together.
